Representation Matters! Bold Blind Beauty believes that “Real Beauty Transcends Barriers” and March’s cover model, Sharon Greenberg is an example of our belief.
Like many people featured here, I met Sharon through a post she shared to Bold Blind Beauty’s Facebook group. I really liked her message and wanted to learn more about her. So naturally I reached out and asked if she’d agree to be our March Monthly Beauty. Fingers crossed she will also agree to be a Woman On The Move too! Her quote spoke volumes to me because she too takes oppoturnities to educate people about the spectrum of blindness.
Sharon’s Personal Quote
“I get asked if I am training my Guide Dog all the time. It drives my husband nuts that I am asked but I aways respond to this question with a smile and say, no, she is fully trained, and she is MY Guide Dog. I then explain that I am visually impaired, and she keeps me out of traffic. I then ask if they would like to say hello to Navi, she is a very social girl. This response seems to ease any embarrassment people have by asking me this question, whether I am blind or not. I think of it as an opportunity to share awareness about the spectrum of blindness in a positive way.”

Sharon’s Bio
Hi, my name is Sharon Greenberg, and I am a Blind Beauty!
I began losing my eyesight in 2000 upon being diagnosed with Stargardt’s disease. My vision loss picked up speed over the last 8 years and I welcomed my first Guide Dog, Navi into my life in October 2019. What a gift she is. The freedom and independence we have together is fabulous.
I am a Management Consultant and live in Denver, Colorado with my amazingly supportive husband, Michael. Together we love to travel, Golf and snowshoe in the Colorado Mountains with Navi.
