Beauty Editor’s Note

We are officially in the holiday season. The various outlets have their form of their best in beauty and the like. I thought I would do my own version of this. BBB’s Up In The A.I.R. Summer Radiance with the brand ambassadors solidified the decision for me.

I thought the BBB community would be curious as to what made it into my beauty bag for the year. I just wanted to let you all know that I personally selected these products myself. I’m sure over time that this will evolve for the future.

Here is just a sample to get it started. You might want to give some of these items as gifts for the holidays. Or better yet get a jump start to try something new for the new year.

Happy holidays everyone and have a beautiful start to the new year! Dana

Facial Cleanser

Attractive young woman of color with long curly hair is applying facial cleanser to her face as part of her beauty routine.

Beekman 1802 pure goat’s milk facial cleansing wipes I first mentioned this product in my post Summer Splash What’s in Dana’s Beauty Bag. I love these wipes! They are thick, and a large size. I also appreciate that Beekman 1802 is a clean Beauty brand. For me, it has been hard to find facial cleansing wipes that I like and that I would continuously go back to. These are the ones! They don’t sting my face and I don’t feel dried out when I use them. I have these on an auto ship. The subscription that I have for these comes with a package of four with 30 wipes in each. Thank you HSN for your various products!

Body Cleanser

Beekman 1802 pure goats milk soap this is my second pic from this brand. These Bars have some weight to them. And they don’t disintegrate as fast as other soaps do. They come in a variety of scents. The fragrances are very light and clean smelling without being clawing and overbearing. If you are not interested in a fragrance they also have the pure goat’s milk soap. I have these on autoship as well. Five bars for a great price. These soaps will last a while.

Hair Tool

6 assorted hair styling brushes on a white background.

Tangle Teezer original detangler brush and Tangle teezer smooth and shine brush the original detangler brush has been on Allure’s Best of Beauty a few times over the years. I first tried this brush when I went to the Ulta salon at Ulta Beauty. The hairstylist was using it on my long curly hair. It felt so good I had to have that brush.

Needless to say when I paid my bill I walked out with these two brushes. These brushes have been added to my hairbrush collection. I have recommended these brushes to my sister whom I always trade up on what we’re using in the beauty realm. The smooth and shine brush is not for detangling purposes; you use this brush after you have detangled your hair.

Nail Tool

5 assorted fingernail tools.

Bellasonic 4 in one electric nail file system. I’ve wanted this product ever since I saw the product demo and read about it in various magazines. Over the summer, I happened to be on my QVC app just scrolling through and low and behold it happened to be a beauty IQ steal that particular day. I got it for $50 off. I was excited and of course snagged it! I like the fact that you can plug this in meaning you will get consistent power instead of having it run on batteries. The attachments pop on and off very easily. For my VIB’s beauties, that is my visually impaired blind beauties, the attachments have different textures so you would know which ones you’re using based on how they feel. I love this and because I can still see colors I can determine which ones I’m using that way too. I highly recommend this tool for your nail kit arsenal.

Makeup Face

Perricone MD no makeup instant blur primer I refer to Dr Perricone as the Age Management Doctor. He has some products under this no makeup line. I bought this back in January and I like it because it will fill in pores discoloration and other skin imperfections without looking like you have makeup on. This product is good if you’re not good with Foundation or you want to use it alongside Foundation as your primer. It comes in a Sleek Compact and it has a bomb like texture. I like to have options such as these in my beauty bag for when I really want to keep things simple and still look finished. I am a minimalist when it comes to makeup but I’m all about a polished finished look. The older I get the less I need. Remember that for yourself.
