Abigale & Sisters

Abigale & Sisters description is in the body of the post.

“Blindness is not always obvious. For us to transcend barriers we must change the way we perceive one another.”

Abigale & Sisters

Abigale (Abby) now has sisters! Phenomenal designer and friend of mine, Laura, did a fabulous job creating additional color versions of Bold Blind Beauty’s icon.

Abby is a bold and stylish fashion icon who always walks in confidence with her white cane. Forever on the move, she reflects the beauty of her blind and visually impaired sisters.

Featured Image Description:

The image is two Abby icons, one is teal, the other white on a black background. Abby is walking with her white cane in one hand and handbag in the other. She is wearing heels and a stylish dress made of panels resembling overlapping banana leaves. The dress panels gently curve from her nipped in waist to just above the knee. She’s also sporting her signature explosive hairstyle.

I'm a highly sensitive proud introvert and a recovering people-pleaser. These traits or quirks used to bother me because I always felt out of place until I began a recent process of self-acceptance. While I'm still a work in progress, I view my quirks as my superpowers and am grateful that they contribute to who I am today.

  1. Hey Bun, I think your logo displays your immense creativity. I originally was thinking along the lines of a bag logo but alas you’d already snagged it – drat. So I had to search high and low to find someone who could polish up what I thought was my original idea and thus Abigail was born.

  2. You’re very lucky to have someone to make such a stylish logo for you, Steph. I’m afraid my head in a bag logo involved minimal artistic talent. I drew a face on a bag, stuck my head in it and then took a photographs with the camera on my computer. 🙂

  3. It’s on there now. I answered all of my questions and put my nominations down and I don’t know what I did but it all disappeared. I answered the questions again and when I went back to make sure they were there, your name had dropped off! You and the mighty Abigail need to accept!!!!

  4. I didn’t actually receive the nomination b/c you thought you misplaced it or something. Normally I can’t accept because of the time requirements but when you suggested having the answers from Abigail I thought that might be fun and I could probably get a couple of people to help me with it.
