Authenticity | Abby’s Reflections 29

“What’s the best thing about being authentic? No training required.”

What Does Authenticity Mean?

It’s quite simple really. Each of us is unique and no one can teach you how to be you. As humans, we sometimes have the tendency to make things more complicated than necessary.

Featured Image Description:

A gray, teal and white template uses the ‘Abby’s Corner’ image. Abby, sporting her signature explosive hairstyle is sitting cross-legged in her PJs (gray bottoms & white top with a gray collar). She is using her teal Abby logoed laptop with a headset/microphone and her white cane is propped up next to her.

  3. “No one can teach you how to be you”: So true… & such a powerful statement…
    Great share, dear Stephanae 🙂

    1. Thank you!! 🌹

  4. I think it’s when we stop copying others and march to our own beat.

    1. Amen!! I think it’s gotten worse with all the sharing or oversharing online. And losing perspective on what’s real vs. what we’re trying to portray.

      1. I agree, Steph! I do think there are downsides to technology. There was an example given us by a church leader. He showed a “perfect” Instagram photo of a plate of muffins and then he showed the whole scene around it and the kitchen was a disaster with a baby crying in a highchair.

      2. This is an excellent example Camie, thank you for sharing. I wonder how much traction an image with the whole scene would get?

      3. Good question!
