Choice On “How Do You Love YourSELF?”

Choice on "How Do You Love Yourself" image description is in the body of the post.

‘Choice’ A.K.A.’ Selective’ Is My Form Of Self-Love

The choice to record a video for Katherin’s “How Do You Love Yourself?” campaign caused me a brief panic attack. I grew up in an age where listening to my recorded voice was cringe-worthy. So imagine how it must feel to see and hear myself? Yikes! But I did it!

When you have a minute check the video out at KE Garland’s How Do You Love YourSELF link.

Image Description:

Panoramic watercolor cityscape in shades of blue and green. Reflections of the black buildings in the background are seen in the river. In the foreground is a black silhouette of a fashionable woman. She is holding her wide-brimmed hat as her dress blows in the wind.  Six red heart balloons (three on each side of her) appear to be floating in the air around her.

    1. Thanks again for asking me to participate Kathy. I forgot to ask how should I credit the picture I included with the post?

      1. Oh – this came from Pixabay.

      2. Oh cool. This is a great image. I’ve used Pixabay for some time and haven’t come across anything like this one.

  4. I loved what you had to say about “How do I love myself”. I also liked the sound of your voice (very soothing) but I totally understand what you mean about someone not liking the sound of their own voice. I know sometimes I don’t too.
Well how do I love MYSELF?? Maybe it’s the fact that I give myself permission to fail and not beat myself up over it. At least that’s what I try to do, but even that I fail at sometimes. That’s ok too though.

    1. YES!! Giving yourself permission to fail is an excellent way to love yourself. I fail at that one consistently but I also consistently keep trying. <3 Thank you for stopping by and commenting. <3

  5. You have a lovely voice. And I totally love your video.
I love the idea of being selective as self love.

    1. Awe, thanks Lynne. I can’t tell you how much I hate doing videos. It feels so unnatural to me but in order to get better at I have to force myelf to continue doing them. Thank you! How are you? Have you had your surgery?
