Ultra Independence | Abby’s Reflections 11

We need to dismiss the belief that to prove ourselves worthy we have to be ultra independent. Our disabilities have nothing to do with our worth as human beings. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness.

Ultra independence or being totally and completely independent is a fallacy. Everyone needs someone at some point in their lives. A disability doesn’t automatically equate to being wholly dependent on others.

Featured Image Description:

A white, teal and gray template uses the ‘Abby’s Corner’ image. Abby, sporting her signature explosive hairstyle is sitting cross-legged in her PJs (gray bottoms & white top with a gray collar). She is using her laptop complete with a teal Abby logo. Her accessibility equipment includes a headset/microphone and her white cane is propped up next to her.
