Fabulous, Functional & Frugal Fashion Tip #29

Flying Down The Freeway? Nah, I’m Good

“You’re welcome” and please there’s no need to say thank you because it’s already assumed.😉

When offered the opportunity to ride in your son or daughter’s brand spankin’ new convertible sports car do not and I repeat do NOT wear your wig.  The end result can leave your “hair” as roadkill.🤣

Our little road trip reaffirmed my stance that I am not now, never have been, and more than likely never will be, an adventurer. While an excellent driver, my son may be I’m a nervous rider and the experience was more than my fragile nerves could handle.

Abby, on the other hand, would have thoroughly enjoyed herself and would have looked chic in her headscarf and oversized tortoiseshell sunnies.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!

  1. Love the car. I can imagine the people behind you wondering what in the world just flew out of that convertible! LOL

  2. Nice car and laughed so loud at the hair comment. One of my friends came around to visit with a hairpiece. After a couple of Chardonnays, she was lying on the sofa and a hamster had escaped from her head!

    1. Bwaaaaahahahahahahaha!! Oh my gosh this was a good one Kerry!!

      1. I have never let her forget it…🐁

      2. I wouldn’t either!!🤣🤣🤣 This material is way too funny!!

  3. It was years after my daughter received her driver’s licence that I finally agreed to drive with her – scary, hairy stuff!

    1. What is it with these children Robyn?? 😁 I taught my son to drive and I know for sure I didn’t teach him to drive aggressively. He’s got some mad skills though but I just can’t do it again. 😲

      1. Beats me, Steph. Thankfully my daughter calmed down once she had children of her own. Maybe there’s hope for him yet?

      2. One can only hope Robyn. One thing for sure is I won’t be riding with him in the future.

  4. What a beautiful car. My son is a good driver but a fast and aggressive one and I used to get nervous, too. I had a 56 Red Ford convertible when I was 16. My Dad bought it used and I loved it.

    Enjoy your weekend!!!!

    1. Thanks Katelon, it is a beautiful car but I will not be riding in it again. My poor heart would give out for sure. Your son sounds just like mine. He says others on the road don’t know how to drive and my response is “that’s what agressive drivers say.”

A red convertible?? Oh wow I would have loved to have had a car like that when I was young but I didn’t get my driver’s license until I was 30 so I sort of missed the boat.

  5. Oh dear, I’m with you all the way! I’d be wearing a hat because I turn bright red after 5 minutes in the sun and that would end up as roadkill for sure. Reminds me of the one time, many years ago, I rode pillion on my sister’s motorbike and was accused of ‘leaning the wrong way’ and ‘trying to strangle’ her.

    1. Hi Heidi, The way my son was driving it’s a miracle I didn’t end up as roadkill. 😆your ride with you sister sounds like something I could easily do. Who’d thought there’s a right or wrong way to lean on a motorcycle? 😉
