Blindness + Style = Confidence


While I intended to take a break during the holiday season, I wanted to share an article I wrote for BlindNewWorld which was published today. I also want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported Bold Blind Beauty by visiting, reading, and commenting. Engaging with you has been the highlight of 2016. Wishing you and yours a prosperous New Year!

Prior to losing my sight, I used to think that when a person used a white cane, it meant they were totally blind (no light perception). I was wrong. The range of sight loss/blindness is enormous and differs greatly from one person to the next.

Contrary to popular belief—after the acceptance of, and acclimation to sight loss—though life has significantly changed, for the most part we remain the same. Continue…

      1. Well I’m working on it, Steph. In fact, my wife has told me to stop posting horror stories. You know, the ones you’ve all become accustomed to over the years. She claims the world needs more laughs. Ha! Nevertheless, I intend to concentrate more of my efforts on comedy this coming year. I realize it’s not my genre—primarily because so many people have wrote to say, “So you think your funny, huh?” Apparently I have some work to do there. 😀
