Weigh-In #11, Jewelry & More
Let me catch you up on yesterday since I was unable to post.
Number one – the scale said 147.8 this alone was cause for celebration as I finally made it under the 150 mark. I may go over it by the end of the weekend (I’ll explain further) but for now I’m still reveling in this amazing accomplishment!!
Number two – I’ve got a bad case of spring fever. Yesterday’s weather was everything and more as promised earlier in the week. The day began in the upper 30s with a thick, suffocating fog which was quickly burned off as the sun made its appearance. By the time I took Mollie out for her mid-morning walk it was warm enough for shorts or a tank top. Today is warmer than yesterday and it’s supposed to go up into the 80s. Having a very difficult time focusing since the only thing I want to do is go outside.
Number three – I have another give away!! While moving can be a massive headache I thrive on giving things away that are of use to others, more on this later in the post.
I’m really pleased with my weight loss progress to date. It’s been coming off slow but steady and as of yesterday I’m up to a total loss of 18.2 pounds since February 1. To add to my excitement the jeans I wore yesterday were loose – YAY!!!
For the first time since the beginning of winter I was able to go out on my balcony to have some pictures taken. Unfortunately since my para-transit ride called just as my pictures were being snapped we could only do a couple of shots.
I was feeling like it was a jeans day yesterday so I wore dark denim blue jeans, white V-Neck Tee with 4 rosettes strategically placed along-side the left of the V-Neck, dark denim jacket and taupe wedges. My accessories included chandelier earrings, Camille Pendant/Brooch from Premier Designs (antiqued silver rosette crystal encrusted necklace), Crystal and Chain Cuff bracelet from Sole Society, black stretch cuff bracelet with black crystals, Silver Woven Stretch Ring from Jewel Box, Silver Rhinestone Floral Ring from Zulily and finally rounding out my outfit was my black and khaki handbag from SammyDress.
So it was off to the Golden Triangle Council of the Blind monthly meeting and after meeting eats at a nearby pizza shop (hence the reason I will probably gain back a little weight – I at 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and boy was it good mmm mmm). I always look forward to these meetings as it gives me a chance to catch up with friends as well as being informed of legislative efforts on behalf of the blind and vision impaired community. At yesterday’s meeting everyone was a comedian, methinks it had something to do with the weather for we were just giddy but we did get down to business.
While I’m on the subject of the Golden Triangle Council of the Blind (GTCB) if you’re in the Pittsburgh area I’d like to invite you to our upcoming bowl-a-thon (one of two annual fundraising events) which will take place on May 10. Funds raised through GTCB sponsored events help us to continue our advocacy efforts as well as allow us to support organizations including Carnegie Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, SportsVision, and Radio Information Service. If you would like additional information you can reach me directly by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Freebie of the Day
Pair of shoes – Qupid Pointer-56 Suede Pointy Toe Flat. These lovely 7-1/2 Medium pointed d’Orsay flats have never been worn. I bought them several months ago from DSW and since they were a little roomy I bought a duplicate pair a half-size smaller and never returned these. The shoes are taupe and feature a rhinestone covered toe and suede heel.
Enjoy the rest your weekend!!
