Okay, I am so over this week. As good as it started out daylight savings time is agony. I can’t sleep well, my internal clock is thrown off, and even with the extra light I feel like time is getting away from me.
I should have been elated when I got on the scale this morning and was greeted with 154.6 pounds. Instead I felt a little deflated, there’s so much going on in my head.
Yesterday I met with my realtor to look at some condos. Out of four properties two were good possibilities and one of them is out of this world gorgeous. While I was there I could envision myself residing in that location however moving further away from the city is not my first choice. Since Mollie (my dog) is family, it’s imperative that I find a property that will allow pets. Unfortunately in my immediate vicinity there aren’t many condo associations that accept animals.
Thinking about packing, moving (possibly out of my comfort zone), fulfilling my volunteering duties, maintaining my healthy lifestyle, blogging, and babysitting, my sanity is stretched to the max. So in view of all the chaos in my life I figured I needed a little pick me up and I found it in a pair of shoes.
Remember how last week I said the colors I was focusing on this spring were coral and turquoise? As an after-thought I said I like mint as well but would not add any new items of this color to my wardrobe. Well please forgive me but I lied, I found these lovely mint colored flats that lifted my spirits so I snagged them.
Building a wardrobe around these shoes I envision a tan and white color scheme including a straw fedora, mint statement necklace and nail polish to match. There was a time in my life prior to pink and white nails when I only wore red or clear nail polish but I adore some of the funky colors and I’m going to expand my horizons. The mint polish I found was out of stock so I’ll have to peruse the internet in search of the perfect shade. But have no fear I will prevail.
When I plugged my weight into Weight Watchers the system said words to the effect that I was losing too quickly and while sometimes this is normal care needs to be taken not to continue the trend. I’m sure part of the reason why was my system being thrown off-balance by the time change and not eating on my regular schedule. I hope this coming week will be better so that I can more appropriately manage my level of stress.
